88 engine/86 sport

Posted before about this and was told to use 86 injectors in the 88 motor. I just pulled the 88 motor and have it on the engine stand. I pulled it with the harness on it. 2 questions, should i just plug it into the 86 ecu in the sport or put the 88 ecu into the sport and plug into that. and if i can use the 88 ecu in the 86 sport will i or should i still change out the injectors to 86. thanks in advance.

you can use either the 88 or 86 ecu, it doesn't really matter.
what you do want to make sure is which harness you are using (can only connect to one type of injectors).

So if you are using the 88 engine/ecu/harness you will have the high impedance injectors and that's it.

or if you are using the 86 harness/injectors, then all you'll need is the little amplifier plug located under the stock airbox.
