'88 Chassis, '90 Engine: Power Steering Help
ok the problem is i have a 90 motor in a 88 car (N/A) and the power stearing rack has two lines that lead to the PS and the pump has only one fiting. plus the PS rack from the 90 car is broken (seized). i dont know what the extra smaler line does , is it a low preashure release(burp) or is it a high preshure release(flow). can i get a short bolt and plug the smaller line's hole? will it leak if i do so?
i cant get this car to run until this problem is resolved
HELP PLEASE

The 88 had a speed sensitive system (3 lines to the pump).
The 90 NA's had an inferior RPM sensitive system (2 lines to the pump).
They are two different & incompatable systems, including the CPU under the dash near the steering column.
You best bet is to fix it up as an 88 version.
Look up the details in the manuals at the link in my sig.
