AFAIK, it should be OK. Are you going to keep the harness, and just reinstall the low imp injectors? Are you even sure the injectors are different? What's the build date on the 87?

thanks... yea i was reading up on the 88 motor and i found out the the injecters on the 88 are a diff type so im going to keep the same wireing harness and everything and just put everything from the 87 on that 88 block...well as long as the compression is good on it. i gotta check that out on sat. so pretty much im going to rip everything off the 87 down to the block and put it all back on that 88 bare block. so besides the injectors is there anything else anyone can think of that i cant use...incase something else on the 87 isnt workin right?

It is the 87.5 and later that use the high impedence injectors

It switched halfway through the 87 model year.
