87TII to 91TII convertion
hey guys is it possible to convert my 87 TII to a 91 TII and how hord is it to pull how many stuff do i have to change one guy told me the motor mounts but i know there much more than that im getting a jspec 91 engine includes turbo and tranny and ecu just wanna know what else do i need and if it would work thanks

too much, and no gains....
I would just use the 91 bare block, and bolt all the S4 stuff to it. (exept the turbo and exhaust manifold)
and you will probably have to premix your gas now (put 2 cycle oil in the gas tank) unless you do alot more work to change the front half of the engine from one to the other.

I've done an S4->S5 and an S5->S4 conversion. Both are pretty straight forward.
You can swap the intake manifold, injectors (make sure to get rid of the resistor pack if you have the early injectors), turbo manifold and turbo.
The hot side of the S5 turbo is much more efficient than the S4.
The intake manifold has larger runners and is designed to flow a little better.
The only thing you really need to do to make the swap happen with as little parts swapping as possible is the front cover. If you're good with tools, you can swap the two in about ~30 minutes.
