So that car must just so and idle most of the time right? See I thought the fan was only used at low speeds and when parked then shuts off at good speed in order to let fresh cool air run freely through hmmm see to drop my heat I had my nose cone opened up a little bit built a wind tunnel so all the air would run through and then bought a nice carbon fiber hood with vents pointing to the back of the car I dropped alot of temp this way

So you guys are saying that red thing helps with both idle and higher speeds?

A fan shroud is crucial to fan effectiveness, which is why all cars have them stock (unless it has e-fans mounted in front of the rad) - otherwise, the fan mostly just churns hot air from the engine bay, because that air flows into the fan much easier than pulling outside air through a fine mesh of rad fins. Any cooling fan is mainly is for low speed or no-speed cooling - if the car's moving faster than about 40kmh (25mph), it will get more air forced in than the fan draws.

so like i said the fan is only good for low speed and idleing if a e fan is attached the question is still does that shroud around the e fan reduce temps while driving at a higher speed as well or will it hinder the cooling at higher speeds ?

It reduced temps a little but it was still too hot for me. That efan was just way too small and it was on there without a shroud at first. I don't think it would hinder cooling in any way.

Anyways, the stock fan is doing awesome even with my front mount so its gonna be on there for a while.

They will fool you into thinking they work for a while, but eventually they will leak, especially if you plan to run higher than stock fuel pressure. The SS braiding inhibits the clamps ability to squeeze the hose, and may actually start to eat through the braiding over time w/ all the vibrations.

It's an AN looking fuel system. But it's not AN.
