87 Turbo Non-Start No spark ECU?

As said in the title, no spark. Coils supposed to be ok. Why do I say that? Just bought this 87 turbo, great price. Won't start, new plugs, ATF in combustion chambers just to keep everything lubed up as I don't know how long it sat.

Previous owner said coils were ok, but the dealer told him it was the ECU. This is a 332. One corner looks hammered on. Not good. Before I swap in another ECU that I need to buy, a friend said that he had heard of a company on here that fixes and upgrades the ECU's...REK or something like that. Search doesn't help.

Definitely lack of spark off the plug wires. So I'll double check the coils. She turns over real nice. Any other ideas??

The ENGINE fuse is blown. Simple as that. It's in the interior fuse box. It's *** u MED that you checked the fuses in the engine bay.

Whoa! New one on me! I'll go check it soon as I get home. Yes, checked fuses under the hood. All ok! Did not think to check the one you mentioned.

Hmm, maybe I should have thought simple first, then complicated instead of reversing the procedure. We'll see.

Is there a common reason for this fuse to blow in the first place?

All right. Engine fuse is fine. All underhood fuses are ok. Put in another 332 ECU, laid on top of the old one (are they grounded to body?)

Front coil showing 12 Volts per the FSM test. Rear coil is not showing any voltage going to it. None of the plugs are getting spark. Tested all of them.

At a loss now. Any other ideas?

Try this (and you can check search for "intermittent no start" as I fought this problem for 3 years). The wires coming out to the CAS (Crank Angle Sensor-the thing a bob where the distributor should be) has a sheilded connecter about four to six inches from the CAS. Get some spray electronics cleaner at an Auto Parts store and open that connector and spray really good. THEN, the is another one under the Brake Master Cylinder that looks just like it. Usually that one gets some Brake Fluid from time to time and can cause problems. The signal to the ECU on that circuit is really, really low and cleaning can work a miracle.

i'm having the same problem my lead coil pack is only getting 3 volts on the pulse wire and i check the crank position sensor wires and they have no power.

Is it the blue, green, red, or white that supposed to be hot?

having the same issue now as well... no spark from either coil... and I do not seem to here the fuel pump running... first thing I did was check fuses... ENG. fuses looked good... although I will prob. double check... at the moment my oil psi switch is disonected cause the wire fell off the switch... that is the only thing I can think of the would keep the motor from not starting...

When my coils were bad in my car, I still got spark *is that normal?!* So I'd say it wouldn't be the coils then...though it does sound like the same thing that was happening to me :O
