'87 Turbo II Work - TPS, Intercooler leak, simple things.
I have been trying to resolve a wierd idle/runing condition with my TII. Today I finally got around to checking the resistance of the TPS and was surprised by the results. It showed 1.87 at restand went up to over 10.50, sometimes as high as 15 or so, when the throttle was opened. I believe this is out of spec, isn't it. I heard anything over 6.oo should be replaced.
While I was in the engine bay with the intercooler off I found that lower intercoooler hose coming from the turbo to the blow off valve was loose where it connected to the blow off valve piping inline to intercooler.
So I am going to get a new TPS and replace everything making sure all piping, hoses, nuts, bolts, fittings, clamps, etc.... are in place and tight. I'm going oer the whole motor now for visual check , looking for cracks, leaks, missing nuts.
Anyway, where in the best place to get a TPS for an S4 Turbo II?
Thanks.

Yeah, that's "a bit" out of spec.
You can get one from a place like Mazdatrix, maybe Mazda, or a used one from the For Sale section. My suggstion... used one. New ones are something like $150.
