NY 87 Turbo II 13B-Re Conversion Q's

hi, i am very close to buying the complete front clip of the JDM Eunos cosmo complete with Ecu harness coils alternator ect... Basically coming with everything ready to make this motor work. I know i am obviously going to need some extra things to make the motor work, oil, coolant probably some vacuum lines fuel lines ect... my question is, after i buy custom engine mounts from Banzai racing and run the harness and have everything ready to work ( fuel pump, oil pump, vacuum leaks, bleed the coolant system, ect) will the engine bolt up to my Turbo 87 Tranny? I believe it does but just need someone elses opinion. Or can someone send me the link sending me to a thread that has been opened like this, i tried to search this forum before asking this question. Thank you very much.

Yes, our brackets align the cosmo engine with the FC trans.

No, you can not use the cosmo ecu or engine harness. There is nothing in the
front clip that you can actually use besides the engine.

+1 to that
search on the forum you will see a whole lot of people who have done the conversion and a lot of writeups for the build
basically you will need a standalone ecu and like banzai said theres not a whole lot you can use from the front clip your almost better off just getting the motor separate to save on shipping costs.

ok thanks, im not sure why i wouldnt be able to use anything from the clip because if the motor originally worked with all the components and i was to put everything from the clip to my car, why wouldnt it work? i mean i read this thread to check it out,

http://fc3spro.com/TECH/SWAP/COSMO/13b-re.html

Only thing I can think of is that you cant use the stock ecu because of the original automatic transmission maybe.

I would go with a standalone anyway.

oh yeah true true, i almost forgot about that itswill, i read in that thread that i posted that i can actually use my FC ecu to power up the 13B RE motor which is great considering i am running the single turbo conversion anyway, thanks for the input.

It is not adviseable, but yes the stock TII ECU will run the cosmo engine. The CAS will have to be swapped, only because the connector is different. The Cosmo injectors are all high impedence and the primaries are side feed, similar the the FD.
