$3500 for an 87 turbo seems like a pretty reasonable price, just as long as the car is mechanically sound and not has no major defects. If that's the case then i'd say you found yourself a deal!

as long as it's a fairly decent car, that's a pretty decent price. Not exceptionally cheap, but not very expensive either, just about normal.

Wanna buy a red S5 TurboII with a rebuilt & poted motor for $5500? I almost don't want to deal with re-routing the brake lines to fix the issue that's with them now, especially if someone'll pick it up for a decent price. Got a street ported motor (recently rebuilt), heavy-duty copper-puck clutch, manual boost controller, new front calipers, and some other stuff... really nice car, I'm thinking of selling it though before I put tons of my own time into it.

3500 for an '87 T2 in good shape is a good deal. I paid 1500 for mine, and have put well over 2000 in it just to "fix it up."

Yep, picked mine up for around 3K. It runs okay--albeit with the usual idle probs, rust on sunroof and wheel wells--but I picked it up as a project car.

If all goes well money-wise, it looks like I may be dropping almost 15K to get her up to where I want her performance- and looks-wise.

Sheesh, this is an expensive project....

picked up my 87 TII for 1500, put about 1500 into getting it ready for inspection. Ran great till an electrical short set the engine on fire...there goes another 100$ for doing all the vac lines that got toasted and some minor electrical fixes...

Talking Looked At Car!!!

I went and looked at the car today and ITS SWEET(i think)!
the paint is faded but not really bad in any spots no rust at all except the front passange fender with a dent but he said he has a fender the same color he will give me, The interior is clean none of the plastic is cracked no tears in any of it, A/C works, BUT its the BURGANDY, ENGINE it looks clean starts right up idels perfect and runs excelent shifts like its brand new, the car rides very smooth and has good tread on tires and it also has a prety new RACING BEAT cat-back!
$$$$$3500$$$$$
He also has tons of T2 parts im trying to get him to post them on the forum and 2 sets of complete black interior im gonna try and get him to through in one of them! lol
WHAT YOU ALL THINK
