87 TII Stumble
I looked at an 87 TII the other day and took it for a test drive. The owner had claimed it has been sitting in his garage for the past 6 months but he's started it regularly. When I took it for a test drive it idled and drove fine, no overheating and smooth acceleration and was making boost. The one problem it did have was that if I tried to accelerate around a corner it would stumble and then take off once it was going it was fine. I first suspected this could be either bad gas or crap in the fuel filters ? The car is in awesome condition, garage kept its whole life, not a spec of rust in or out one of the nicest i've seen. But this stumbling has me concerned. If its simply a fuel filter thats no big deal. I was also thinking maybe bad ground ? I will add that the engine and fuel system are all stock except for a streetport, the engine has 8,000 miles on it since rebuild.
Any ideas or suggestions would help, should I walk away from it or what..

OOoo... look at the sticky for FAQS. I promise it is in there ...and you will learn a bunch more too.
My engine cuts out when turning, but there is plenty of gas... whats wrong?
Fuel tank sock is dirty and needs to be cleaned or replaced, and or the baffles in the fuel tank are rusted away.
