Question 87 TII rebuild help

hey guys.. need some help.. i just saved my Rx7 from a junkyard with a blown motor. and i don't know how you rebuild it. so my ? is when rebuilding this motor is it like anyother engine or is there a certain way that it has to go? also where can i get a rebuild kit from. i found a kit from www.mazdatrix.com for $310.00 and another one from an airplain company for $1000. is there a certain why one i should get.. I DONT KNOW anything about these cars. the last one that i had i was in high school and just drove it (it was an 85)but that was when i was young a dumb.

anyways.. how do i go about fixing this motor (13B turbo)

There are several rebuild kits you can find on the internet. You should order new soft seals and a set of hard seals to start. Depending how bad the compression is on the thing, you might have thrown a seal that ripped up the rotor housing and rotor.

They have a specific way to get rebuilt and as it was said, you can get a video on it. If you go to the FAQ at the top, there should be a link to a download of the factory service manual which will tell you how to do the build as well as the specs it can have for tollerances. so..i guess i need to wait untill i pull this thing apart before i can tell what kind of rebuild i need to get.

Your best bet would be to rebuild it by going to www.rotaryressurection.com and talk to Kevin Landers.
