87 TII Clutch Prob

Hey,

I am thinking about just replacing the entire clutch assembly anyways but wanted to get some ideas from members here.

My clutch makes no noise at idle but once any pressure is applied there is a rubbing type noise from top to fully depressed and if I keep the pedal pressed down it will make that noise until I let off.

Past few days the clutch has just gone to the floor and I have to pull it back up with my foot a few times then it finally catches and works fine yet still with the rubbing noise.

Any ideas are appreciated

Thanks,
Mike

check hydraulics first (both master and slave cylinder) for any leaks or any signs of being bad...

it this turns out to be good, get ready for dropping trans and inspecting/replacing any of the clutch system parts (fork, pivot ball under fork, TO bearing, pressure plate, clutch disc, pilot bearing)

when it makes sound when pressed, TO bearing is pressed onto pressure plate (could be bad TO bearing, bad pressure plate)
