That's not what I meant by pull start, although that may work as well.

if you have the transmission or bellhousing on the engine with a starter you should be able to do the compression test.

well just an update, I ended up buying a spare s4 t2 motor locally for 200 bucks and it even sounds like it has some life left in it.

in the process of cleaning it up etc

bought myself a nice shop crane and a ton of metric tools

ready to dig into my long journey with the 13b
