MN aluminum headlight covers?

I've never found any evidence of there being any aluminum headlight covers available but I figure I'd ask before i mod my vert hood.

I've never heard of them. They made decent use of lightweight materials where necessary, but I've never heard of aluminum headlight covers.

they are all steel. the cost of aluminum covers vs weight savings probably doesn't pencil out. the covers are small, so aluminum wouldn't save much weight.

it might be interesting to do the headlight assemblies in AL, or something, all that bracket/hinge junk is kind of heavy...

now if they had only used stainless screws for the lids- now that would have been good

aluminum isn't a great metal for panels anyways.

i still have small dings in my hood from previous owners who tried to push the hood closed, even had some smog techs try to do it on my hood and i had to tell them to stop. the last smog tech was nice enough to tell me i could close my own hood because he didn't want to mess up anything in my shiny engine bay.. lol
