Im buying a 87 rx7 this week but it has a dying tranny. I need to know how much is a tranny and where could I get one.

i got mine for 300 canadian, so about 4 dollars american..

seriously....probably 200 US. It was a nice find. The guy was like what have you been offered i said 300 he said i'll match it, other places says 600!

 

Also, when your buying a transmission. Ask how many miles are on it. If close by, grab a wrenh and open the drain plug on the bottom, look for any big chunks of metal... about 1mm or 2mm, if there are just metallic flake in the oil. Your good to go. Means that the tranny hasn't been badly grinded. Just somethin to look for. Good luck
