I have a 87 gxl na that i put a turbo motor in to. turn key to acc. and on fine but when i turn to start the power dies. all the guages drop to nothing like its a dead battery and nothing will happen til i unplug the battery and plug it back in. it did this b4 the swap as well without me even touchin it i replaced the ignition acc relay but that wasnt it ne help would be appriciated

 

try to check the battery wires or the battery connectors theyre problably bad this happened to me a while ago
