thermostat question..

does the s4 and s5 thermostat interchangeable??

Mazdatrix shows two different part numbers for s4 & s5 so my bet is no.

they're not interchangeable. S4 uses gasket, S5 uses O-ring.

can you use s5 thermostat with s4 gasket??

(just because i have a new s5 thermostat and 88ae motor)

No. As mentioned above, one uses an o-ring and one uses a gasket...

If you have an 88 then you have an S4 which means you need to use the S4 thermostat and gasket.
