So this just started two days ago. It really only happens the first time I start it for the day. After that it usually starts up right away but what happens is when I turn the key, the lights and everything turn on and you get a beep but no compression or any movement from the engine. So what I have to do is turn the key multiple times fast then eventually it kicks on. The battery isn't dead. It has all new fuses. New oil. Pretty much all new fluids besides transmission. ( if any of that helps). What could be the problem?

 

So when you turn the key to Start it doesn't do anything? No click or anything? Sounds like a key cylinder issue.

 

Common for the 87. Ignition switch is going bad. I got one at the local junkyard an had a locksmith key it for me.

 

Sounds like something electrical too me?

 

It did click when I did it once but I'm not paying attention to it usually being I'm paying attention to hearing the motor start.
