every where i call asks me if the car was made before june 1st of 87 or after.i whould like to know wants the diferance and how do i find out which ones mine uses,how many there are,where there located,and are the primary and secondary diferent.

 

You can find out with your VIN number. The difference is that Mazda decided to change impedance mid-year so half of the 87 cars have low and the other half have high impedance. Gimme a second and I will find the VINS where it changed for you.

 

Ok The first half or the cars are up to earlier (models)VIN #550168 the second half are VIN# 550169 and up(later models)

 

Or pull up the carpet on your pass side and look at what ecu you have.

 

Additionally, look at the FI's themselves. Red's are HIGH Impedience and White (or off white now) are LOW Impedience. If that's not enough, gently disconnect the Harness Plug and measure It's resistance. Both the Primary and Secondaries are no different from each other.

*note* you may want to swap Primaries Into Secondaries If you ever have them out. b'c your Primaries, for the most part, are working o/t for the most part.
