87 FC High Idle

My idle is around 1500~ but when i press down on the throttle linkage, it starts to idle normally(800-900). I have a video of it here.

Anyone have any ideas?

Adjust your throttle cable.

Probably a seized dashpot or dashpot related

Also check to make sure that your cruise control cable is not binding or the cable bracket is not bent causing the throttle to be slightly cracked open.

I do not have cruise control, but ill check the cable bracket. Thx
