86 rx7 turns over but wont fire
I just got done putting a motor in my 7 and i have fuel and spark but when i try to start it it just wont fire. so i spray a little carb cleaner in the intake and it fires right up and runs fine and if i shut it off and try to start it again it starts right up the next thing im going to try is to see how much fuel pressure i have but if you guys have any more ideas that would be great. thanks

i had the car out in the field and it was a little hard to work on so i brought it in to the shop and up on the hoist and saw that the fuel lines coming up to the motor were wet and when you turn the car on it starts to drip so i think that that might be the problem ill cut the metal lines back and replace with some new rubber and i hope that does it thanks for the help guys.

You need to use FUEL INJECTION rated fuel hose!
It sounds like it's running CARB rated fuel hose, which cannot handle the higher pressures.
FUEL INJECTION rated fuel hose is EXPENSIVE.

It sounds like your pump isnt running while cranking. put a jumper wire in the yellow connector between the airbox and the strut tower. Does it start and run on its own now? If it does, there is something wrong with the electical system that provides fuel for cranking.

I have fuel injector hose on it and used the fuel injector hose clamps (the good ones) and that took care of the fuel leak and it starts without carb cleaner but takes a couple tries but it does start and runs fine.
