Question 86 automatic FC

I have a chance to get one for $500. Runs really good. My nephew is selling it.

I plan on just using for work.

Good deal or not?

Any problems with these Automatics??
Any suggestions help. THX.

i'd buy it. I just bought a 86 GXL. Its an automatic, but its in good shape. Its hard to find RX-7s where I live, let alone a 5 spd, but if it runs good and looks good then its good.

automatics are a lil slower... but then again they are on every car so thats not really much of a surprise... from what ive heard i dont think its all that hard to swap to a manual, but ive never done it... so you should probably do a search

if the car is in good condition for 500 bucks its definately not a bad deal, if i had any spare money id love to pick one up for cheap to have a spare to play with

FC's being problem matic as some are, besides the common problems with FC's, are there any prone problems on the Automatics that may differ from 5spd's in particular?
