Take a look at it closely - make sure that you have the same options. i bought a switch for my '88 ($300) and some RB hit the door. Knowing that the switches go out I pulled apart both dashes and removed the switches only to find out (like I wouldn't know if someone asked me the question) I have the rear wiper (option) on the '90 GXL.

HTH - Good Luck!

Seems to be some diff if you view this list of wipers. In other words I don't know, but this list gives you a clue http://www.mazdatrix.com/o86elect.htm

Not sure if this helps but my 91TII wiper control works in my 86 base model. I am sure it will. RUN IT!

They are all the same, as long as the car model matches up.

For example the 88-89 vert has top controls
The GXL and Turbos have rear wiper control
The 10AE and some Canadian models have headlamp washer control.
Base/SE/sports/GTUs have a blank.

The headlamp washer control is part of the headlight switch (the retractor), not the wiper switch

The ***** are different, but you can get a 86-88 wiper and headlight switch to work. But not cruise or blinker
