86-88 bumper modification - no slats??

has anyone cut out the front bumper part on their 86-88 rx7s? u know the part that has like the vertical and horizontal slats in it. i mean if you cut out all that **** and just left it gaping open. if anyone has any pics of this mod let me know, i would like to see it!!

My friend did that and it doesn't look too good. The bumper gets all flimsy. I just painted mine black.

His only looks okay cause theres a fat *** Spearco in the grille

BUMPER CUTOUT

There are picktures under {I painted my car in my driveway, really}

That`s the only way that I know how to tell you to get there, Probably some other trick way though!!!


This is my car, and I really like the look. I think that it looked better befor I put the driving lights in though! I think that they just need to be a little smaller!! He`s right about the lower part of the grill getting flimsy though, I fixed that buy filling it with an aluminum rod I had lying around, and spray foam. As long as you still have the plastic undercover on your car to support it, it`s pretty solid!! To each his own though!!! Just like being different!!!
