800cc or 900cc secondaries?

I have the RTEK 1.7 and found some 800cc injectors, as well as some 900cc injectors. The 900cc are cheaper, but I'm wondering if I'll have a hard time tuning them down with just an SAFC?

I have 890's on mine and they will tune down just fine so I'm sure 900's will be easy as well. do you have the safc 1 or 2? I believe the safc will adjust up to 25% and the new one will adjust up to 50% witch will actually get those 900's down to 450's if you wanted to. Good luck.

Will 900cc's fit in the stock fuel rail? I've heard rumors of 1000cc's fitting into the stock rail but no one can confirm.

I don't know about that, my 890 work after putting some orings at the top and a grommet at the bottom but I"ve never seen 900cc injectors. I know 1000's will work though because brian with bnr is building his tII right now and it's going to be mostly stock with a stage II and 1/2 hybrid, rtek 1.7 and 1000cc secondaries.

Whether it'll fit depends on the design of the injector. Most NipponDenso-style injectors fit just fine. The size of the injector doesn't have anything to do with how the injector will fit and seat on/in the intake manifold/fuel rail.

I'll probably go with the cheapest SAFC I can find just so I can keep costs down. This RTEK setup is just so I can drive my car around for a couple months before I tear the thing down and start the real build-up... lol

BTW, thanks for the reply... I guess I'll go with the 900's since they're cheaper.

To make a 550/800 combo work the same as the 550/720 combo required for the Rtek you'd only have to apply a -6% correction above 3800rpm. To make a 550/900 combo work you'd need a -12% correction. No big deal. These figures will get you going but obviously a proper dyno tune should be done.
