Question 80 mph 3000 rpm

Hey, I have an "88 vert. Had her up to 80 mph @ 3000 rpm's....just want to make sure that is where she should be at that speed. Actually had her up to 95, ran beautifully with more to spare. Thanks for your help!

That's exactly what my '88 vert does, just drove about 200 miles on Sat. doing that most of the way.

Mine has 107,000 miless, basically stock except for K&N intake kit and hi flow cat.

Assuming stock (or stock diameter) tires, at 3000rpm in 5th you should be at 74mph.

80 (indicated)/3000 sounds about the same for me... But at that speed, my Speedometer is off by +5 MPH.

For a 'vert 3500rpm in 4th calculates at 88mph, so you're about spot on.

But he doesn't have a Japanese turbo, he has an 88 'vert. What's your point?
