hey all i been working on my 87 se 5 speed 7 for about 4 months now/ well heres my problem i instaled a new tailshaft new bushings/ new driveshaft and everything was intact as of today well i get the car jumped cause battery is dead i go to let off the clutch and the shifter wont budge into any gear its just stuck/ i try jamming it into gear but no luck/ i was wondering if anyone knows whats the deal is with the 7/ im so pissed at the car i was braking my back today trying to get it running / the motoeri s in awesome shape never smoked/ i need to know is there a new tranny in the future for me i mean when i let off the clutch it just started rolling like it was in neutral/ im so angry about this i just need it to run im giving the car till friday then its bye bye for the 7 / please help please

all i can say is look dude i mean take off the shifter surround take off the boost and take off the rubber seal around it... then your gonna see the floor threw the whole but your also gonna see 3 screws 10mm bolts take the 3 out and the shifter will slide out look at it make shure its in correctly and see if it will go in gear once everythings out...

would not having tranny fluid be the problem / i know a retard that has a 7 that cant get into gear/im talkgn about myself i forgot the tranny fluid oh man what a dumbass hahah

 

the car should still move, unless you have been runnin like that for a while, in which case you should have noticed shifting problems long ago.

 

oh it moves like its in nuetral i let off ht eclutch and it just rolls

 

does the shifter feel like its going into any gear, i mean with the car off, can you hear the shift from the trans?

 

so does the trans shift in to 1st gear? and u let the clutch out and it does not move? hmmm do i have to even say what is wrong? clutch plate maybe!? DUURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR

 

its in no gear i think its in neutral / cause when i first got it back from it braking i replaced the driveshaft and it stalled on me after i let off the clutch this time no stall / ill put tranny fluid in it tommorow and see what happens/ its stiff as **** the shifter is/i cant put it in any gear/ if it is the clutch plate the 7 will be seeing the junk yard fri cause im tired of dealing with it/
