6port turbo clutch ?

I need a beefy clutch for my 6 port turbo project.

I just realized my stocker n/a clutch won't be able to handle the power so I have a quick question.

Can I swap in a turbo clutch with flywheel counterweight etc. Or won't it fit an n/a trans because of spline count or size etc.

Does anyone know of a beefy n/a clutch that's streatable. I.e. No need for lance Armstrong legs.

Thanks

You can't mix flywheels and transmissions. They have to match in order for the starter gear to engage the ring gear. A heavy duty NA pressure plate and organic disk from ACT should do the trick if you're going to be using a stock turbo. If planning on more power, you may have to look into something stronger and less street-friendly.

turbo flywheel and clutch wont work on an na transmission. Just get a heavy duty clutch like RotaryRocket88 said. ACT is good or try racing beat. I have their 4 puck clutch and it prettty good. just needed getting used to

I used an ACT stage 1 for 4-5000 miles until I broke first gear in the transmission, worked well running about 8psi.

^ i think youre liable to have this problem as well, NA transmissions are notoriously weak. I used to have a ~200hp NA and killed 5 of them....

I would consider swapping to a turbo tranny if I were you. Then you could run a turbo clutch as well.

Yeah I'm not blaming the clutch at all, thats just when I stopped using it and put a TII trans in. It was perfect when I took it out and had quick/crisp engagement compared to the stock clutch. I'd get one even if my engine was stock, it made rev matching, launching and fast shifting much easier and more crisp.

You should be fine on the NA transmission for a while. It does greatly depend on your driving style. At only 200-250HP it should not be too much of an issue.

TII transmissions are pretty cheap. You should be able to find one for under $200 and the just have a driveshaft made to connect it to the NA rear. I just did that exact thing...
