6pi porting advice needed.
Just an update.. I went ahead and ground out my aux/secondary ports on a set of scrap irons I had laying around. They look pretty good! The aux ports don't close too late (barely later than stock), and the secondaries are a good mid-sized secondary... Now I'll chew out some cleaned-up primaries on the int plate and post some pics.
The ONLY problem I ran into (which is going to make me change the template on the final design) is that if you grind too far away from the runners on the aux ports, you end up making the port longer than the sleeve runner... One way I thought to fix this was to grind a slant into the sleeve to curve the flow into that area. I'll end up making it big still.. just maybe not quite as long.... if that makes any sense.
When I post pics, it'll make more sense.
