6 ports
I have a full stock exhaust, cept for y-pipin and a couple of nice low mufflers. I want to get a race pipe, will this make it so the 5th and 6th ports will not open?
If so, is there any other way to make them open besides wiring them?
thanks, evan

We are assuming you have a Series IV. I opened up my exhaust with a RB Header, full Stainless Steel Brullen mufflers and piping and a Hi - Flow S.S Cat. There was no way my auxilliary ports were going to open up!
I currently have an RPM Switch and am using an old EGR Solenoid which worked out beautifully. I have FULLY functional auxilliary ports, all the time.
Be sure to clean out your auxilliary port sleeves, just In case they are gunked up, which In turn detract from the sleeves opening up smoothly.

Since the actuators only need like 1.8psi to start opening, and 2.7psi to fully extend, I suggest you do a backpressure test and make sure you have that much after you install it. In my experience, I could not get them to fully open with a straight pipe and a hollow main cat but that could be due to gunk build-up over time.
