Arrow 6 port, s4 and s5

Hey the ******* who owned my car before me cut the 6 port actuator nipples off and drilled a screw in their place to keep them locked open ( felt like an idiot cause i couldt find them). I ahve another set on a s5 lim, will they fit?
Also one of them is dented and wont open fully is it possibel to open it so i can knock the dent out?

yes they are interchangeable, remove the two small phillip head screws on opposing sides fof teh shaft, once they are out the shaft slides out... the procedure is the same for both s4 and s5. you can swap them back in teh same way, reverse installation. just make sure you get the orientation correct so the shafts are meshing with the pin in the sleeves properly.

Sometimes it takes some wd40 to get the shafts out too, there can be alot of carbon build up on the part inside the runner.

Also you can find power by putting the shafts on a lathe and turning them down a bunch (don't turn down the part that is inside the guide/bushing though!), they are quite overbuilt and obstructive to air flow. This modification is synonymous with narrowing the valve stem on a piston motor. The bushing can be ground down also, again, just like in a cylinder head. Especially on the rear 2ndary ports, the bushing sticks out far into the runner.

Good luck trying to get the screws out. WIthout an impact driver, you will strip them.

I would personally, (if you dont have an impact driver) drill em out and find similar screws, or better yet allen-key screws for the job. Oh yea when you remove the **** and swap it, if it fits, theres no need to lube up the shaft that goes into the chamber (huh? lol) cause it gets hot enoughe down there ( :P) that any grease and **** will burn off and probably cause it to stick and stuff.

OK i admit im kinda confused, i thought they were just held on by 2 bolts and had a pin or sumtin holding them to the shaft the turn. Ill figure it out tomorrow with my haynes and some visuals. Whatever BP was talkign about I do have a impact wrench and will rememebr to us it when i figure out what i need to do. Ill just remove them for now since im breaking in and wont pass 4000 anyway and try the s5 on when i have time.
