6 port question (searched high and low...)

No one seems to have had the same problem as me, or so i found. Anyway, the thing that the actuators pull down is whats stuck. What's weird is i can move it up and down, both front and rear, i guess they're called rods? Anyway, I can move them both freely, but only about 1/2 throughout the range of bumpstop to bumpstop. Anyway, is it possible to just spray PB Blaster and keep working them untill they go through the full range, or can they come out by removing the 2 phillps head screws? Sorry if this question's been asked alot, lol. Thanks in advance for your input, cya

Best solution is going to be to remove the LIM and remove the rods and clean off the buildup that is causing them to stick.

You get the rods out with the screws/bolds that are on their sides. The reason I say to remove the LIM is because you could inadvertently move the sleeves into the opposite position, in which case the work is a complete waste

Use some good carb/parts cleaner to get rid of the gunk and you should be in good shape again.

I actually had to replace the bronze bushings that are inside the LIM and one of the rods that goes through the LIM to turn the 6-port sleave. cuase it got bent while i was pressing it out it was stuck so damn tight.

You really need to take the LIM off in any case.

But, the goot new is, if you can't get it unstuck with some carb cleaner or easy off, the bushings are availalbe at the dealership.. they are cheap.. the rods, however, they are NOT!!!!!!
