Question 6 port induction

Please, advise how to check if 6 port induction is working, 6PI solenoid valve voltage = 14.37v at idle.
6PI Actuator operated by vacuum at engine speed of 6,000 rpm and above, right? Could 6PI actualtor be hook up to other vacuum source such as hooked up directly from intake manifold or VDI Aatuator ?

Thank you

Go to www.iluvmyrx7.com and download the EFI (NA) chapter of the Factory Service Manual. The 6PI system is covered in detail, including how to check its operation.

No, they're operated by pressure from the air pump above 3850rpm.

No, both the 6PI and VDI systems operate via air pump pressure.

Only activated at 6000 RPM on a Reni, and again by air pressure, not vacuum.

Ok, I had a problem with my 6ports, and it turns out they weren't working. To test them get some 1/4 inch tubing, a T fitting and a carburator fuel pressure guage and hook it up to the air lines at the solemoid (make sure you hook it up on the correct side, or you'll get the feed from the pump). Run the tubing out of the hood and into the car through a window and have a passenger look at it as you accelerate, and the pressure should junp from 0 to about 3-4 psi at approximately 3800rpm. This will tell you if there is air pressure. Now if the ports rotate easily, you're fine. My problem was that the computer wasn't sending signal to the solenoid, so I wired in a summit racing RPM switch. Check all the connections to make sure that you don't have any bad wiring before you do that though as there may just have a bad connection or a broken wire. The other possibility is that there's insufficient air pressure to actuate the valves (unlikely though if they move freely). You should check the VDI at the same time, it turned out for me that the 6 ports were the only thing wrong with mine though. Hope this helps.

One side of the solenoid is 12v from the main relay.
The ground is triggered by the ECU.
I had a similar Aux port solenoid signal loss.
It turned out to be the transmission neutral switch was holding it off.

You can verify they are not stuck by blowing in a hose to the actuator.
