6 and 4 ports

can someone correct me if i am wrong. is it true that all 86-91 rx7's are 6 port except the turbos that are 4 ports??? allso if i remove the air pump on the 86 it will make my rx7basically a 4 port with better top end but the bottom end would suck compared to a 6 port???

All 86-91 N/A 13B's are 6-port. If you remove your air pump on your '86 it won't affect your 5th and 6th ports. And if they aren't opening then bottom end stays the same and top end sucks royally. The 4 ports on a turbo motor are bigger than the 6 ports on a N/A. Mazda worked out some dynamic port induction in order to get a little more power out of a N/A motor.

6-ports open for top end,.. so the top end would blow and the bottom end would be like stock.

No you can't remove the air pump from the 89-91 N/A's. The 5th and 6th ports rely on the air pump to open. The '86-'88 relies on exhaust back pressure.

You can remove the airpump, you'd just have to remove the 5th/6th port sleeves.
