Angry 5th gear trouble

OK, so I got my 87 rx7 a few weeks ago, it had an n/a 88 engine dropped in with 33k miles on it and a new tranny put it because my friend blew 1st gear before he sold it to me.

Everything was running fine, but now all of a sudden my 5th gear is messed up, it wont go passed 60 mph floored. I usually put it into 5th at around 55, and I just cant get it to go past 60. So i decided to test it, I ran her to 110mph in 4th gear and put it into 5th and with my foot floored I stay at whatever speed I was at in 4th and the speed will SLOWLY climb, im talking incredibly slow, can anyone PLEASE help me =[

i dont think so, all the other gears its fine, just 5th. But if the clutch was slipping wouldnt the rpms go up when i stepped on the gas, when im on the gas in 5th is just slowly climbs, rpms dont jump at all.

There's nothing particularily special about 5th gear, besides the 5th gear switch. Perhaps the ECU is confused? But othe than that, I'm stumped.
