Angry 5th on 6th ports stuck will not rev past 4K

I have an '86GXL which I have let sit for about 6 months because I had a demo through my dealership. I have moved to another part of the dealership where you do not get a demo. I started my car up and everything sounded fine however it will not rev past 3500-4000rpm under load without missing real bad. I think it maybe my 5th and 6th ports as I cannot move them at all they seemed to be frozen. I am running a header with a tube attached to the ports to create backpressure to open them. Do you guys think this is my problem?? If it is, is there anything I can do with the pots still on the car. Thanks in advance for any replies.

No. I just disabled my aux ports and went around the block. Six grand with no prob. I strongly suggest you drain that gas out and cut the lawn with it. Put new gas in the car. Maybe some injector cleaner. Drive with vigor for an hour. Take three asprin and go to bed if that does not work. Might check the boost sensor for good electrical and vac connections. Its rotten gas though. Could be something else.
