Why not just clean the actuators, and get them in working order again? If youre ports are not opening you are losing considerable power, Id say 20ish?

Hey jwall. Why does everyone seem to use that same avatar around here? I see it a lot, and I think I am mixing everyone up.

Oh, ya...and what he said

Well when I pulled my intake off, to my surprise they were installed in the wrong direction. My advice to you is to get the pineapple racing sleeves clean everything up and install it in the right direction . You can loose up to 25 top end HP if these never open .

Yeah, it's better to have a working system than to remove them (on a stock engine)

If you can move the actuator plunger things that means that they are not stuck correct? Just wondering cause my car is loseing major top end power (99% sure it is just from running pig rich), but I just want to start eliminating possibilities till it is fixed. I know it probably is not low compression though cause 1st and 2nd gear seem to have decent power, nothing special but decent, but it starts pretty much instantly when you start it up almost every time, and from what I know low compression will make it a bitch to start.

you can remove and clean them and they'll be like new. Or, better yet, buy some pineapple sleeves and put them in.

You have an s4. Get them out and then clean'em out. Install PR Sleeves and follow this thread, should you have an unreliable set up. https://www.rx7club.com/forum/showth...xilliary+ports

There's all kinds of product you can find to clean and lubricate the ports. These ports are important, and you're loosing alot of power.
