5sp transmission rebuild kit

I have someone looking up a transmission rebuild kit for my 88 convertible. How will I know if it has a 15mm wide single ball front countershaft bearing or a 20.5mm wide double ball front countershaft bearing? According to this guy, there are different versions of the 86-88 N/A manual transmission.
