Yea how much?

I think they said about a $1000 plus $250 for the adapter.

My harness is in good shape, the only plugs i don't have or am not using are the emissions ones. I'm thinking of either going with that or with the haltech. The shop made the Apexi sound like it was very easy to use and install, which would be something nice for a change.

I have yet to see anything, anywhere that says Apexi has discontinued the FD Power FC, the AP unit for the S5 is gone, but that doesn't matter, considering we developed our kit.

well, get them while they're still available. You never know.
Apexi Japan announced a number of products have been discontinued, presumably to ensure increased focus on their core products due to their recent financial problems. Unlike previous discontinued products, this includes all vehicles for these products.
Apexi's parent company Apexera enters financial trouble

Apexi LogoApexera, the parent company of Apexi in Japan, announced in February that it is has requested financal assistance from the Japanese government due to debts outstanding. Due to divisions outside of the Apexi performance parts division, Apexera is operating as per normal but with some delays and reduction in product availability.

Since the announcement, there has been delays of up to a month on parts from Apexi. A large number of the Apexi Power FC vehicle models have been discontinued, in particular the models from a number of older vehicles such as the Nissan Skyline GTS-t.

The ongoing supply however, provides the confidence that Apexi is here to stay and we hope to see the company retain the strength and new product development that formed there success over previous years.

Read first 1 and half pages, skipped the rest. It looks and sounds like a hybrid. In the engine pics you see a T04E compressor housing, with a internal gate. The old *** HKS "Sport Turbo Upgrade" came that way (internal gate, .84 A/R turbine on a stock-ish manifold), and I recall the OP mentioning a HKS manifold. But it still could be a hybrid (the op doesn't seem to know a whole lot about it, and I recall "clipping the turbine"). 370 at the wheels MAX, street ported with supporting mods @ 15 psi if you dont run out of fuel or blow it up due to lack of tunability. Keep in mind, 10 psi on the stocker is no were near the flow and or density of a larger T4 turbo. So 10 psi running stock maps/ecu and the computer will have no idea of the amount of real air going in that thing. Fine, moniter A/F, but then theres ignition timing to contend. Again, at the stock 10psi the stock ecu can contend with, but with the T4 air density at 10 psi is much much more. More density means less timing because it will burn quicker. I suggest you beg, borrow, steal and get a true EMS and start to read though all the old threads and PM a lot of guys whos been there and done that. Like some other poster put it, your high horse power piston buddies will learn a lot about your car and rotaries, but at YOUR expense (READ: BOOM, lets rebuild and not do that again.. BOOM, well lets not do that again etc).
