Hey, everyone...I just bought another rx-7 but this ones a 91....it's nice leather seats and all, i got it for 850, but the turn down is that it has a bad transmission, when i have it even in nuetral and let slowly off the clutch it sounds as if it's still in gears because the rpms bog down, but it doesn't go anywhere.....does anyone know what this could be?

 

its stuck between two gears,, my old 89 did this once i had to yank the tranny out and take the tail housing off and pull one of the gears either up or down, it seems this happens a lot when u speed shift or shift too fast , not saying u did this but maybe the previous owner did and it jammed on him

 

if you cant get it fixed i have a 87 trany with 150,000km i just puled out of my car because the 2nd gear syncro is bad it still shifts but it grinds 2nd at about 7000rpm, $200 obo

 

changeyour fluid and then get back with us.
