5 lug brakes

Do all FC 5 lugs cars have the 4 piston calipers? Or is that only on certain cars.

Yes I searched for those who only have time to flame.

Thanks,

Cbuzz

No, that is incorrect.

Again this info is found in the Standard features and options sticky trhead at the top of the section, as well as the FAQ for FC sticky thread at the top of this section.

The 89-91 base models came with 5 lug brakes, with single piston front brakes.

The following models came with 5 lug 4 piston fron brakes and vented rear brakes:
86-87 Sport
86-90 GXL
87-91 Turbo
88 GTU
88-92 convertible
89-90 GTUs model (note the small "s")
91 coupe with A & B packages.

The following models came with single piston front brakes and solid rear brake rotors:
86-87.5 base (4 lug wheels)
86-87.5 Luxury (GX in Canada) (4 lug wheels)
87.7-88 SE (4 lug wheels)
89-90 GTU (5 lug wheels)
91 coupes w/o A & B packages (5 lug wheels).

please read the FAQ for FC sticky thread and the standard and optional features sticky threads at the top of this section before posting!!!

Now hopefully, Buzzin will come back and read this before he spends any money or time, otherwise NSBerkland you may owe him big time, if he took your word for something and spent money or time on new pads or a conversion kit or what ever and you gave him bogus info.

Thank you, Icemark. No harm No foul.
I did look through the FAQ but did not see that info.
I will check standard features and options first before posting another ?
