5/6th port actuators

GOD I HATE THEM!!!! I was cleaning them, and to doso, you have to remove the "rod".... the damned thing BROKE!!!! ARRRRGGGGGG!!!!!!

Sorry, I needed to vent.... damned things. Good thing I have a parts car!

what year is your rex? mine broke too...the one that's on the right facing the passenger side. closest to the headlight.where can i get another one at...if i can't get one at a junk yard. can i used the older one's(86-88) or will that not fit?

i have a question...u know the actual things that turn that let the air through( at the moment i cant think of the name) but if i just turn those to the "open" side and dont connect the rods back in would that be like wiring them open?

they'd vibrateinto some form of not really anything unless they managed to close or turn belly up on you from gravity.

Someone mentioned a form of crimping the sleeves in place by expanding the open end and cramming them in place. Not a bad idea IMO, if you're willing to sacrifice the bottom end loss in favor of maybe 5hp from losing the actuator rods. Keeping them working is the way to go.
