yea yea its been asked... i just cant find a straight answer...

1989 n/a ...
when are the 5/6s supposed to kick in?
should i notice it?
btw im street ported...

air pump is there

???

They're supposed to kick in around 3500 RPM give or take a few hundred. I'm not sure mine are working so I can't really say if you're supposed to feel it or not; I would assume so. You should definately feel the vdi kick in at 5500 though.

The S5's auxiliary ports are opened at 3850rpm (as per the FSM) and the VDI opens at 5200rpm (as per the S5 SAE paper).
