4rotor in a fc?
Trending Topics
damn why do u need a 4rotor engine anyway, i hear those 20b engines kick ***!! i think they are only 3rotors too!!
, and I'll get a link up here in a minute to a four rotor E-shaft for comparison, that is about the hardest and most expensive part to find, or at least I would think so. Along with the intake and distributor. But I don't really know.

And I just found a picture of a 6 rotor engin, but I don't think it is real, or at least it doesn't run.

Well I seriuosly dought that would fit in the engine bay, but hell you could always just move the drivers seat and fire wall back a little.

like someone above said, it would be a project, but with money, anything can be done.
You do have a BIG heap of cash, right?
because that's what this project will take.
like, $20K, minimum.
Probably not worth spending that much money on an FC, a well tuned stock 13b can make 400+HP and you really don't need any more than that for a street driven car.
but seriously, you'd be looking at:
Custom E-Shaft ($$$$$$)
Custom flywheel ($$$)
Engine management ($$$$$, even more if a haltech won't run something like this and you have to go custom)
4 13b rotors + 4 turbo housings + 3 int housings + 2 end housings + 2 or 3 rebuild kits to get seals for all of that
a HUGE fawking rad
custom mounts, a tranny and diff that can support all that ($$$$) (now that I think about it, the tranny alone might cost $20k... so much for $20k total... oops)
moving things around in thecar ( don't think you'd have to move the firewall at all, you can probably hide alot of crap in the transmission tunnel with these motors being that small, but still...
Exhaust manifold + HUGE ******* turbo ($$$$$$$$$$)
Custom 5" exhaust ($$)
I'm SURE that I've forgotten one of the MILLION other things that you're going to need, like chassis strenghtening and etc for a motor making 1000+ HP...
but hey, yeah, it could be done, but you're goign to have to mortgage your house to do it.

..
custom oil pump, a water pump that flows incredible amounts of water, etc, etc.... this would NOT be a cheap conversion
this is one of the few times where a v8 would simply be a better idea - it would be lighter, cheaper, more reliable and more powerful...
you don't need 4 rotors, ever, unless you have 2 FCs...

But it is just the fact that you would have a 4 rotor, and yes you do need four rotors, how could you say you don't. And if a V8 is better than a 4 rotor, why did the 787B win Le Mans, Now I don't know if it was running against any V8's but I would seriuosly dought that it wasn't.
cory simpson, ****, you're a retard. You've proven it time and again in various threads. Take the advice of your avatar and "up the shut ****".
Is the street Le Mans?
No, it isn't.
Think about that for a second.

his point is that this idea of the 4 rotor is not for the street and no point of doing.
the v8 would never be able to keep up with a 4 rotor. think of how much hp/torque the 20b has...then add another rotor, your pushing some manger power.
this project is not for the normal street racer, its more for pple that have thousands of dollazzz and want to test drive on a track, and show pple that rotaries do make alot of power.
does anyone even know if it is possiable to do? i mean they dont have an ecu for it even, lol u have the money to program your own ecu?LOL thats funny

I saw a four rotor on0line when I first started with my FC it was loud but it was also very powerfull and expensive.
I would think the budget for theis MUST be at least 30K because most people that do a 20B conversion put in about 15-20k so that is unlikely that a 26B would cost the same.

Ok, you guys need to calm down. Mods are about to shut this peice down.
Oh yeah btw, i think a V8 can handle anything, even a 4rotor. I mean ****, they have 2200+HP V8s, and if a 4 rotor can do that, then lets bring in a V12. Heh.

and now kids, lets read the same post without the flames!
Who said the street is Le Mans, Ohhh well no one did Your the one who tried to say that a V8 would be better than a 4 rotor!!!
hey cory:
your right, no one did say the street was lemans. you are the one who said 4 rotors are IN lemans so they are therefor the best.
he is saying a v8 would be better than a 4 rotor if it comes down to a street application
obviously the guy who just posted doesnt race in lemans, so in Terrh's opinion, a v8 is a better canidate for a street application.
seriously. that post you just made cory was pure flames man. you need to relax. sure, terrh was out of line calling you a retard, but you should be a bigger person and overlook that.
