looks like BS to me, probably low 300s if it is tuned decently mainly because it is just a chipped stock ECU.

i'm also no fan of the gay *** old sidemount intercoolers with the 180 degree bend into the throttle body...

400 is a touchy number, without the exact setup that was used then this will not be tuned properly and could blow up first time it is boosted(if it is even true, which i doubt)

a chipped ECU is just a stock ECU with a tuned ROM chip installed which is tuned for the mods the owner had installed so if anything changes then the tuning is null.

Probably mid 300's max.

But looks like a decent little score for parts though thats for sure!

Nice little garret snail...manifold (assumingly).....wastgate?......bov?.....downpipe? .....I/C core (that I would mod to alleviate the million bends and reversals)........TII hood.

I would have probably snapped that up if it was local and decently priced. I wouldn't expect 400 from that setup though. But I hae no doubt you can make a respectably fast 7 from that parts selection...I would add an EMS or AT LEAST fuel controller and supporting fuel mods though.

Gay *** side mount?
Looks like a true front-mount IC to me...

Starion IC?
It's the old GReddy (might be even HKS) FMIC kit with red painted pipes.

400hp?
I don't see any AIC's?
So...is it still running the stock 4 x 550's?
Right there makes it all wrong.

Be careful about buying any J-Spec or JDM engines or front clips that tout higher than stock HP levels.
You're gambling with your money buying these things.
Normal street price would be about $1,000 or slighty more for just the engine.

Just for lying to you, I'd offer the guy HALF of what they are asking for cause they are just being bitches.

Am I the only one that gets sad seeing someone else's project, that they probably cared for quite a bit, getting chopped in half?

No sympathy here.

Theres a reason its chopped in half.

If he/she loved it that much they wouldn't have sold the car to a yard/exporter.

The only possible situation that would even come close to warranting my sympathy is if it was piled up in he back end and written-off. In which case, again, if he loved it that much he'd have bough it back from the insurance company.

-----------------------------

If I were you I'd get on these guys cases, dont just let them hold your hand and baby you into buying something.

If he AT LEAST can't get you the size of the turbo, tell him you're walking. They know, or can find out, they're just ******* around with you. Don't take that ****.

Edit: BTW, I think its a Greddy 20G kit.....
