That must be one of dem elektrik hybrid FC's. Or they could drive it for 20 miles stop the engine then push it anothe 20 then repeat the proccess.

They commonly lie like that, people are stupid and they tell them it's a rotary and that's why it gets such good mileage and most people believe it, though it's almost always a lie.

I agree with dr0x, they're great salesmen, exploiting the misinformed public who doesn't know much about a rotary, making them think it gets insane mileage and that it can rev to 15,000rpm without breaking a sweat. Sure does get a lot of peoples attention, doesn't it?

I get about 12 mpg. A guy I know has a rx7 that does get 35-40 mpg. I know, I didn't believe it either, till I saw it!!!!! He installed this "Geet" fuel system that revaporizes gas into hydrogen before being injected. (I think that how it works. lol) His NA rx7 gets way better gas mileage and will keep up with my TII, with just intake, exhaust, and the Geet system. <-- sounds gay even saying it. haha. But there is atleast one economical rx7 out there.

It'd be easy to make a car that is almost 0 harmful emissions and makes ~40+ MPG

It'd be easy to make an FC that is almost 0 harmful emissions and makes ~40+ MPG...

One of the key things to gas mileage, that hasn't been implemented yet, are 2 things.

1. you need to pre-heat the fuel to a temperature that is a lot higher than ambient air. Warmer fuel burns faster and more efficiently allowing maximum power usage.

2. you need to get the particles of gas as small as possible, this could be achieved by having a "tornado" type device AFTER the fuel injection process to better mix the air/fuel.

If the FC was somehow made able to pre-heat the fuel into a vapour and then mixed with the air (still in vapour form) then it could achieve 40-80 MPG.

There was a carbuerator that was designed to do this in the early 40's that was purchased by GM and put away with other such things as the "water" powered car. The Carb was able to get the average vehicle to make 100+ MPG.

Let's see -
First we heat the charge in the IM.
Then we introduce an electrostatic charge.

In my book you either get a BANG in the intake, or a PING in the engine.

Well if you installed the following stuff:

http://www.improvegasmileage.com/

I could see getting a 80 MPG...

When i bouht my modded up used T2, the guy I bought it from was upfront about it. 12mpg he said, and it uses expensive gas! bleh. My best mileage EVER was 20mpg right on the nose, pure highway, being careful on the boost. I usually get closer to 17mpg highway because I like to put the pedal down at onramps and stuff, and if I'm on something like Rt 1 where there are stoplights on the highway, you can guess what happens when the light turns green.
