4 pot brakes

I was changing the pads on my vert and saw that I had the 4 pot calipers on the front. I was under the impression that these brakes were only available on the TII's and GTU's. Did someone swap these into my car before I bought it or was it an option? Thanks

Not exactly, first of all there were no "GXL's" in 91, all N/A's were either called Coupe or Convertible. But Coupes with package option A had the 4 piston front brakes.

Icemark has the skinny on the 91's.

Package A upgraded the interior trim and seats, added the power sunroof, tilt steering wheel, cruise control, and ventilated rotor 4 piston front disc brakes with ventilated rotor single piston rear brakes. Package B was available on the Coupe and the Turbo and included leather seating, a CD player, and rear cargo cover.
