Generally speaking, 4 port motors have 4 large intake ports, and are restricted to Turbo cars. N/A cars have 6 smaller ports, and the 5th and 6th ports are closed at low RPM's with an actuator.

The 6 port setup improves tourque at low RPM's without much sacrifice in top-end power.
