4 Cylinder Rx-7s?

I know I should probably just search this, but my friends keep saying that some rx7s come in 4-cylinders instead of rotary. I've heard the rx8s do, but god, to think of a poor cylinder powered rx7 is heresy. Is this rumor true?

You serious?

Ther never have been or will be (god forbid) any piston powered Rx7 or Rx8 from the factory. Never. The next time your friends say otherwise, bitchslap them and say "Teh Rx7 Club knows about j00."
