4-bolt/ 5-bolt wheel studs... the same?

Just a quick question. Are the front wheel studs on the 4-bolt FCs the same as the front wheel studs on the 5-bolt? Reason being, I need 3 new studs for the front of my FC, and went to the local parts store, which said that they couldnt even get any for a 5-bolt car, but they did have some in stock for a 4-bolt. I was just going to buy one and try it out, but thought I would ask before I go wasting my time if they are in fact different. Thanks!

I dont see why they wouldnt be the same. They should be the same length as well as same thread and pitch.

Yea , the only thing I could think of was that the splines in the hub are possibly different, so I thought Id ask if anyone knew for sure.
